 The Council Community Church is 100 years old this year!

The church is planning to celebrate its centennial during the first week in July
2001. To honor the Lord's work, we are creating a 'Book of Memories' to preserve
the stories of answered prayers and God's intervention in the lives of His
people.

  We would like to invite you to send us your personal story about how
God, the Community Church, or perhaps a member of the church body has touched your life or your family's life. Were you married in the church, baptized through the church, saved through a ministry such as Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, or a revival? Were you ever a musician in the church or involved in a special church project? Have you ever written a poem or a song about the Lord? Were you a Sunday School teacher, trustee, or deacon?   Were you called to preach? How did the Community Church become your place of worship? We hope that you would write your story and submit it to the church by the end of March 2001. The story may be mailed to us or put in the collection basket at the church.

We are encouraging everyone, young and old, to write his or her personal story. The stories will be edited, proofread, and compiled into a "Book of Memories." Pictures are also welcome, but please include your name, address and phone number on the back so they may be returned to you. Our goal is to give honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for His work in the Council Community Church for the past 100 years.
